We Need You. Volunteer today to serve at Thanksgiving and Light Up Blue Ridge!

Good Samaritans of Fannin County Benevolence

Fannin County Georgia area churches have joined hands across denominational lines since 1981 raising funds to help our Fannin County neighbors in need.

The proceeds from the Labor Day Bar-B-Q and other event proceeds and donations are distributed through GoodSamFC's inter-denominational Benevolence Fund.

Benevolent funds, when available, are used for basic needs such as food, utilities and housing.

To Request Assistance

An individual needing assistance (the client) should call a church from the list below until they reach someone who is able to submit a request (please do not leave duplicate messages).

The client must provide their name and contact information and detailed information about the need (including account numbers, amounts due, and client’s ability to pay).

The church will contact the on-call benevolence volunteer who calls the client back. The on-call benevolence volunteer may also meet with clients requesting assistance.

If the client has not been assisted in the last year AND if the on-call volunteer approves the request, GoodSamFC makes payments on client’s behalf (we do not give cash to clients). GoodSamFC may partner with other agencies, charities and churches if needed.
