We don't always raise money. the Community Thanksgiving Open Table is about making sure everyone in Fannin County has Thanksgiving food and fellowship. We need help setting up and serving soup at Light Up Blue Ridge.
July 29th, September 30th, and December 30th. 8am - 1:30pm. Fannin County Senior Center. Best brunch in the mountains. No charge -- donations are welcome.
Saturday, September 1st. 9am to 3pm. Blue Ridge City Park. You can help us set up tents and you can help by coming by to browse the selection of arts, crafts, and nic-nacs. Exhibitor space available.
Sunday, September 2nd. 6 - 7:30pm. Blue Ridge City Park. We need some help with setup, but mostly we need you to come and share an evening and some ice cream with new and old friends.
The Labor Day Bar-B-Q is our most important fundraiser. It takes about a million volunteers, over three days to pull it off. We need people to help solicit donations, to put up signs and tents, to prepare and serve the food, and much much more. We also need your truck.
At GoodSamFC, volunteers wash their hands before starting, before and after the bathroom, and after touching meat and stuff. We don't eat while serving guests. We'll provide the hairnets.
Volunteer Staffing Sheets are at your church. Sign up there, if possible.
When you arrive, sign in at the Volunteer Booth to get your assignment, apron, gloves, and name tag.
Have fun. Smile. Serve cheerfully.
Volunteers purchase tickets for themselves and their friends and families. They spread the word that pre-sale tickets are available at participating churches, the Chamber of Commerce, Bank of Ozarks, BB&T, United Community Bank, and American Wholesale Print Shop.
Parking is limited. Volunteers carpool park away from downtown.
